The 16th International Symposium on Separation Sciences – New Advancements in Chromatography and Capillary Electromigration Techniques - is organized by the Interdivisional Group of Separation Sciences of the Italian Chemical Society (SCI), under the auspices of the Division of Analytical Chemistry and the Division of Chemistry for Environment and Cultural Heritage of SCI; the Central European Group for Separation Science (CEGSS), the European Society for Separation Sciences (EuSSS), and the Italian Research Council (CNR). The series of International Symposium on Separation Sciences (ISSS) started in 1990 in Bled (Slovenia) as the continuation of a series of local seminars and conferences held in Zagreb since 1967. The first six ISSS editions were held every second year, alternating between Slovenia and Croatia, and were successively organized as annual international meetings in Central European Countries. The symposium traditionally offers an opportunity to scientist and practitioners of high performance separation techniques, such as GS, HPLC and capillary electromigration techniques, to discuss the latest progresses related to all aspects of these separation techniques, their hyphenation to other separation methods or spectroscopic techniques, and their applications in scientific and industrial areas.
